Les
Équipements Lapierre have been in the maple syrup business since 1972 and
the water treatment business since 1990. With a reputation as an inventor,
innovator and visionary, Mr. Lapierre runs a business of more than 30
employees that hasnt stopped expanding. Always pleasing the clientele,
Les Équipements Lapierre inc. have adapted to modern technology and have
even upgraded several times. Well known amongst the high technology
industries, Les Équipements Lapierre dawn highly specialised tools and
machinery. Fabrication is computer assisted. The sophisticated units of
programming serve to conceive and produce standardised parts for
fabrication of equipment. The industrial parts programmed are saved on
computer which allows the perfect recreation of any parts without the
slightest difference. This process allows the one site fabrication of more
than 80% of the parts from raw materials.
Les
Équipements Lapierre have at their disposition a sugarhouse of more than
125000 taps which serves as an excellent experimental research and
development center. The sugarhouse is used in the final conception and
testing process for new equipment. It is here that Les Équipements
Lapierre tests their products to determine whether or not they are ready
for the market place. These tests confirm the quality and the
trustworthiness of the product whether it is for a small or large
sugarhouse.

Over
the years Les Équipements Lapierre have distinguished themselves. Amongst
others at the Salon de la P.M.E. Industrielle Mégantic Compton
Weedon 1988, as Enterprise of the year for Technological
innovation. In 1989 at the Beauceronne enterprise Gala Chamber of
commerce of St-Georges, Les Équipements Lapierre were classed as
regional industrial enterprise finalist and in 1998 they were given
Honourable mention for the Quebec municipal affairs minister prize
for the Potable water treatment plant using the nanofiltration process
project.
